Dr. Ci Ren is a Lecturer in Business Law (Assistant Professor) at the School of Law, University of Leeds, England.
Dr. Ren’s research examines emerging issues in international financial law, banking law, corporate law and and Fintech regulation, with a focus on English law, US law, and Asian law. She is the author of the book Insuring the Boardroom (Routledge 2027) and has published extensively in leading commercial and financial journals, including the Journal of Business Law, International Company and Commercial Law Review, and Journal of International Banking Law and Regulation.
Prior to joining the University of Leeds, Dr. Ren was a Lecturer at at the School of Business and Management, Queen Mary University of London, where she teaches Company Law and Corporate Governance. She obtains her PhD and LLM from King’s College London. She is also a Senior Consultant at Asia Capital Group Ltd, leveraging her expertise at the intersection of law, finance, and global markets.
Dr. Ren is a member of the Society of Legal Scholars (UK) and of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business (ALSB, United States).
