  • Forthcoming Article in The International Lawyer (American Bar Association) on Real-World Asset Tokenisation

    Dr. Ci Ren is pleased to announce that her co-authored article, “Structuring Real-World Asset Tokenisation: A Lifecycle Framework for Corporate Lawyers”, has been accepted for publication in The International Lawyer, Volume 60.

    The article is co-authored with Professor Christoph Kletzer and Dr Lerong Lu of The Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London. It develops a lifecycle framework for understanding and structuring real-world asset (RWA) tokenisation, with a particular focus on the role of corporate lawyers in digital asset transactions.

    RWA tokenisation has become an increasingly important area of legal and financial innovation, as market participants explore how blockchain-based tokens may be used to represent rights, claims, or interests connected to real-world assets. The article examines the legal and transactional issues that arise across the lifecycle of tokenised asset structures, and offers practical guidance for lawyers working on RWA projects in the United States, cross-border transactions, and global legal practice.

    The article contributes to wider debates on digital assets, financial innovation, corporate law, and the future of international transactional practice.
